The CONNECTIvity tele-seminar aims to improve the visibility of National Research and Education Networks (NREN) in the region and raise awareness of the importance of mobilizing science knowledge for sustainable development through ICT network for Higher Education and blended learning. This event is linked to the CONNECT Asia initiative which was established in 2009. The initiative has been conducting series of lectures and various online activities ever since. The CONNECTivity event will use higher education and research networks to deliver the seminar on Green Society, with topics each from Education, Culture, Science, and Communication sector. This activity expects to ignite collaboration and cooperation among the participating parties on the sustainable development while also sharing their own ideas, and initiate the preparatory discussion in the region for Rio+20: United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012.
